Nickel plating (Ni)

Nickel coatings are used for decorative purposes and as a corrosion protection because nickel acts as a passive metal in many environments. Due to the increased corrosion protection we use a so-called duplex nickel. First, a layer of semi-bright nickel is deposited, which is the main corrosion protection layer. On top of semi-bright nickel next is deposit of bright nickel coating. It is possible to nickel plate large objects on the rack line.

Semi-bright nickel

It is intended primarily for the application of duplex nickel coatings to objects subject to particularly harsh corrosion conditions. 2/3 to 3/4 of the total thickness of the nickel coating is semi-bright nickel, the rest is bright nickel. Maximum dimensions of the item:

  • length: 2.200 mm
  • height: 900 mm
  • width: 450 mm

Glossy nickel

Glossy nickel coatings feature high gloss and good surface alignment even at low coating thickness, so no subsequent polishing is required. Excellent coating for decorative purposes and a chrome base in the decorative chrome plating process.
